The purpose of the Family preservation Program is to provide financial assistance to family members
caring for their relatives with severe or profound developmental disabilities
so that the family member can remain at home avoiding costly out of home
placements.
Target Population
- Family members
with profound or severe developmental disabilities
- Children under six years of age who
have developmental delays that require supports equivalent to that required by
a person with profound or severe developmental disabilities
- Families with income at or
under the 300% of current Federal poverty levels
Services
Provides monthly cash assistance to
low income families.
